• Two weekends away each year, one of which will be Saint Saëns (between Rouen and Dieppe) in April 2012.

• Various competitions during the year at Villarceaux in the Vexin, wonderful scenery and a warm club atmosphere. The section has negotiated with the Villarceaux committee a package, which gives us essentially all the benefits of full-time membership for the price of a normal weekday only membership rate. In 2012, SAC members who are under the age of 36 pay 825€, and those over 36 pay 1,194€ for full membership rights at Villarceaux. There is currently no joining fee in order to join Villarceaux.

Tennis

3 all-weather courts and 5 clay courts

2 tennis coaches:

Francis 06 27 36 56 18

Pablo 06 89 72 64 57

You can contact them directly.

You need a red badge (blue for children), which you can pick up from Dale at the office. You must give him a passport photo for this. In order to book your court in the morning, simply put your badge on the requested time slot, when you arrive, on the board outside. Don’t forget to take your badge off the board after play. If you do forget, you will find it has been put into a box of forgotten badges at the front desk.

Tennis tournaments are organised in the Spring.

Looking for a partner to play tennis with? Don’t hesitate to talk to one of the tennis committee, or Marco at the snooker table, if you wish to find a player of your level.

Head of Tennis Section: Melvyn Cooke

Squash

There are two squash teams at the club.

Training on Monday evenings, matches on Thursday evenings.

If you do want to play, Saturday afternoon is a good time to find a partner to give you a game, or there will be a squash player around who will find you a partner to match your level. Just make sure you have shoes with the correct soles for playing on the courts.

Head of Squash Section: Sean Lafleur

Snooker

Before starting, you must play snooker with the light on, so you must put a 1€ coin in the box. Snooker is only permitted for children over 12 yrs-old and those children must be under adult supervision at all time.

Don’t forget to sign up in the Autumn for the annual tournament. The finals are played on Burn’s Night in the New Year.

Don’t hesitate to talk to Marco if you wish to find an opponent to play against, at your level.
